In the field of agriculture, most of the scientific research activities are based on potato breeding, elaboration, development of modern technologies for potato cultivation for mountain areas and for intermountain basins, respectively, the creation of new potato varieties directly for mountain areas. Elaboration of methods for warning and forecasting the main pests and diseases in the specific mountain climate, and not least the production of seeds from higher biological categories.
