Several peatlands and wetlands in the Centre region have been rehabilitated within a project financed with Norwegian funds, interventions being carried out that will have the effect of restoring the microclimate, but also creating conditions for local rains.

The Research and Development Institute for Wildlife and Mountain Resources together with the Ministry of Environment - Romania, the Norwegian Bioeconomy Research Institute (NIBIO) and the National Agency for Natural Protected Areas (ANANP), partners in the project "Restoration of wetlands and peatlands in the Centre region - RePEAT" organized, in the new conference room of ICDCRM, the first scientific conference dedicated to the restoration of peatlands in the Carpathians.
